Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus ControversyIt is the year 2017, and my jaded cynicism longs for another day. Another day where a video game about killing Nazis would be uncontroversial and not drawn attention to. But with the unfortunate rise of far-right movements in western countries, that will not happen soon. And yet, here we are.
The Wolfenstein series of games spans 36 years, with the first-ever game in the series being "Castle Wolfenstein." The game that really made the Wolfenstein brand famous was Wolfenstein 3D, which popularized the FPS genre. It became a smash hit, spawning many sequels and other games in the franchise. I myself have played Wolfenstein 3D, Wolfenstein (2009), Wolfenstein: The New Order, and Wolfenstein: The Old Blood. And though I didn't like Wolfenstein 3D and I found Wolfenstein (2009) to be lackluster, the latter two entries in the series are excellent first-person shooters. In particular, I enjoyed Wolfenstein: TNO because unlike many WWII shooters which treat the Nazis as ultimately dispos
'The Cusp of a Second Civil War'Rush Limbaugh:
'Now, folks, in order to defend America, which I believe is incumbent upon all of us, in order to defend America, you have to begin knowing our history. If you’re gonna defend the United States of America, you have to know our history. You have to know the purpose of the United States of America. You have to know unequivocally and proudly the United States’ place in history. And that is why erasing and distorting our history is crucial for the left to succeed.
None of this that is happening on the left is random. None of the riots, none of the protests. They are not the result of the left being offended by individual acts. Antifa didn’t show up in Charlottesville because they found out something was going to happen that offended them. They showed up in Charlottesville to create mayhem and cause hell. They showed up in Ferguson, Missouri, to do the same thing.
They showed up in Baltimore to do the same thing — and wherever they show up today and to
I have come to Hate this political stuff. If only because the Left continues to double-down on being the most worthless bastards on the face of the Earth.
This is the last for a while.
Problem is, if these people pull this off, Las Vegas may well fade into insignificance.
'According to two ANTIFA-based websites, plans are being made to end the “Trump/Pence regime” via acts of violence and terrorism across the United States.
Don’t be caught flatfooted. Call your congressman, senator, sheriff, mayor’s office and ask them: “What are you going to do to ensure these domestic terrorists don’t get away with killing more Americans?”'
From the antifa Terrorists' own websites:
'ON NOVEMBER 4, 2017:
We will gather in the streets and public squares of cities and towns across this country, at first many thousands declaring that this whole regime is illegitimate and that we will not stop until our single demand is met: This Nightmare Must End: the Trump/Pence Regime Must Go!
Our protest must gr
Eggs Simply Are Not For HumansEgg: an oval or round object laid by a female bird, reptile, fish, or invertebrate, usually containing a developing embryo. The eggs of birds are enclosed in a chalky shell, while those of reptiles are in a leathery membrane.
Eggs are found in almost all animals, from the eggs laid by birds, reptiles, fish, and platypus, and the eggs that are not laid by mammals and other animals. Eggs are an integral part of the reproduction cycle and are only found in females and hermaphrodites. Without eggs, most species would not be able to reproduce.
Bird eggs are most often consumed by humans, but some other animals may have their eggs consumed to fish and even reptiles, but for this journal we will concentrate on birds, primarily chickens. Birds, like other animals, lay their eggs after mating and care for them as needed until they hatch. They then raise their young, teach them everything they need to know, and then leave them to live their own lives.
But, sometimes an egg is not fertilized. Whe
What is life to you? Find your purpose!
Hey it's ladger back with another introspective/philosophical piece if you want to check out my other look here: anyway I just wanted to talk about this for a while now, but got caught up in other things namely drawing and martial arts but reading this from a retiring vs debater/artist:
really got me thinking about some parts of life we take to lightly, to heavily, ignore, give control to others, etc. And before I go yes I understand not all things, people, experiences, or anything for that matter are equal. It all really just depends on who your talking to, what they believe, their culture, living environment, etc there are really to many ways to ponder in this subject so I'll get you all started smoothly!
Before I go on it seems fair too say no one can ever truly tell you about life's great wonders nothing can prepare you for it and the best way to do it is to just
The Reality of MeatMeat: The flesh of a person's body. The parts of an animal's body, primarily muscle, that is often consumed for food. The food source for omnivorous and carnivorous species throughout the globe. But is it actually for humans?
The short answer to that is "no." Humans actually are not meant to consume animal flesh, just as we are not meant to consume dairy or eggs, which I discuss further in other journals. Meat is not meant for humans for several reasons: The first being that humans simply are not physically designed to consume flesh, secondly because of the immense cruelty involved, and thirdly the destruction of the planet. In this journal I will concentrate on just the meat industry and how it abuses animals and the harm meat does to our bodies. Other journals will cover the environmental issues of animal agriculture,
Musical ChairsIn recent decades, wealth inequality has steadily risen in the United States. The top one percent - and specifically the top fraction of the top one percent - has substantially grown their share of wealth, while the bottom ninety nine percent has shrunk in relation. The cost of living continues to rise; food, utilities, housing, and transportation continue to tick up, as does inflation. But the average income and share of the overall wealth has stagnated for much of society. Historically, societies that have faced high levels of wealth inequality for prolonged periods have alleviated this problem either through changes to laws, regulations, taxation, and government spending, such that wealth was redistributed. In other cases, wealth inequality resulted in collapse, mass civil unrest, uprisings, even revolution, the results often being to spread the poverty around rather than remedying it.
There are many, however, who see this issue far differently. To prop
4 Aprile NO MUOS
Sabato 4 Aprile 2015, dalle 14.30 a Niscemi (CT)
