A lost can be learnt from the struggles of the Indian people who struggled for freedom from the tyranny of the British or the struggle of the blacks for civil rights in America.

As different as we have been taught to look at each other by colonial society, we are in the same struggle and until we realize that, we'll be fighting for scraps from the table of a system that has kept us subservient instead of being self-determined

I think violence by the Palestinians, though certainly justified, will only give the Israelis another excuse to further the ridiculous claim that they are the victims of 'terrorism', which we all know they will use to expand their occupation and continue this merciless slaughter. And with the Western media finally giving some air time to the conflict in Gaza (even though it is obviously incredibly warped), now would be an ideal time to begin a campaign of nonviolent resistance on the part of the Palestinians. I remember Palestinians forming a human chain not so long ago as a means of protest, and it seemed quite effective. Of course, this is no easy matter - innocent Palestinian civilians will have to put their lives on the line with no means to defend themselves. But, when you consider it, is that really so much different than the way they are living now? I really believe this is the answer.

If you look at the maps over the past century and see how Palestine has already been taken over by Israel. How can such a small amount of people keep struggling against such a powerfully backed army.
Life is precious, it cannot be thrown away. We as human beings have a responsibility to allow our children and grandchildren to grow up in a decent world.
I would rather live than die and that seems to be very much the case in Gaza I am sad to say.
Despite my response to your poll I will still continue to support the Palestinian people in any way at my disposal. Just how long can such a terrible death count continue?
